A favorite dye of the backwoods frontier, black walnut produces a beautiful chestnut brown color on linen and various darker shades on cotton and leather. Our black walnut dye consists of ground and dried black walnut hulls shredded, dried and (comes) ready to use. Simply add the walnut to 7 gallons of water in a plastic trash can and you have a dye vat that can be used over and over. Instructions are included.
